He started his DJ Career in 1988 as DJ TALES and played till 1995 and after as ANDY LEE at several national and international clubs. After starting at club KU in Lippstadt he began to play in the hole German Club Scene especially in NRW but also in the rest of Germany and started trips to the clubs of Belgium, Yugoslavia, Spain, Netherlands, Romania and the USA. Some of the highlights in his long-lived Career were gigs at Limelight in Brooklyn/ USA (1992), the Balmoral in Gent/Belgium (1994), the Pulverturm in Munich (1995), the Rumpeltänzchen Festival in Steinfurth/Germany (1997), the Love Parade in Berlin (1999/ 2000) – Terminal float, and the Chill Out in Sibiu/ Romania (2002). He played at some clubs as a resident DJ also: He met his first producer during a gig at Limelight in Brooklyn and released his first record Tales / Distortion, on the Label ‚ACA’ in 1992. In the year 2002 he produced the Title: definition of existence ,realeased on the Label, Sounds good’ as a member of the Group X-centric. This Title would be remixed by Yogi van Bellen and were licensed by Global Underground’ in the UK. After this he has made a long break about productions but there are some next Releases will plane in the future. In the year 2002 he arranged a new Party format named, SCHALL UND RAUCH’ in Leverkusen together with his partner Ingo Bornmann. These Parties were in under a Highway bridge at summer and in winter at the Club, MÜTZE’ in Cologne, it was amazing. On the Base of his profession as a DJ he played together with many DJ’s and Stars at many Clubs, amongst others with Carl Cox (UK), Collin Dale (UK), Collin Favour (UK), Yves Deruyter (B), DJ Fly (B), Baby B (I), Francesco Farfa (I), Lenny Dee (USA), DJ Cutter (USA), Jay Bliss (RO), Rhadoo (RO), DJ Drago (YU), DJ DAG (D), Pussylover (D), Taucher (D), Commander Tom (D), Massimo (D) etc. Andy Lee can play everything about electronic music, depending on club, people and atmosphere. The Style of the music is all Styles together in one thing, from House over progressive- and intelligent Trance till minimal Techno and Techhouse. The point is not how the sound meal is cooked; more important is how it’s served to the user. He describes his style as ‚minimalistic hypnotic rhythm’ and this are many Soundfacetts of different styles at various terms in the set and will served flambéed to the user. Regardless of which style all have his own unmistakable manuscript, but music can’t characterised in words so you must listen to it. Look and see….and listen. |
